Dried Fig and Blue Cheese Tart
  • 1 cup Great Lakes Dried Figs, chopped
  • 3oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 3oz Blue Cheese, crumbled
  • ¼ cup Orange Marmalade
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • 12oz can Crescent dinner rolls
  • ½ cup Chopped Pecans
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and blue cheese with a fork until well blended. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, stir marmalade and vinegar over low heat until mixed; stir in figs. Cook over low heat until figs are softened. Remove from heat.
  3. Remove crescent dough from package but do not unroll. Cut roll of dough into 16 slices. Place slices 2 inches apart on 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Press center of each slice to make an indentation 1 ½ inches in diameter. Place 1 heaping teaspoon of cheese mixture onto each slice. Top with 1 tablespoon fig mixture and 1 ½ teaspoon pecans.
  4. Bake 15 – 19 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack; cool 10 minutes. Serve warm. Makes 16 tarts.
